So who is Brooke, and why the foundation?

Welcome to Brooke's site. It has been created to keep friends and family updated about our loving little girl and to provide a centralized communication tool for everyone involved.

First of all... What is Neuroblastoma?

Ok, now for Brooke's heartbreaking story...
God brought me to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOPS) on Sunday January 4th, 2009. I am in great hands and know God is watching over me because of all the prayers you all have been saying for me.

On Christmas Day I did not feel real well and I laid on the couch instead of playing with my presents from Santa. The next day Mommy took me to the doctors and I had an ear infection, a sinus infection and my leg hurt very bad. The doctor prescribed some antibiotics for my ear and sinus infection and sent me to the emergency room for some X-Rays on my leg. The ER Doctors diagnosed it as Toxic Synovitis (Transient Arthritis). An infection in my right hip brought on from maybe my ear infection or sinus infection.

Things were getting better on my follow up visit to the Orthopedic doctors on Wednesday the 31st, I still had my sinus infection. I was still well enough and looking forward to spending the weekend with my Mommy and Daddy. My extended weekend started out with a nights stay at the Hilton in OC with Baby Ashley, Danny, Dara, Daelyn, Cole, Luke and Brynn. I had a great time in the pool and went to dinner at the Dough Roller where I had pizza and got a toy airplane. Then on to a visit to Nana's house on Friday and Grammy's house on Saturday. I was also going to visit my Great Grandparents and Pop Pop & Mom Mom Mulford on Sunday. On Saturday January 3rd I started not feeling well and my legs hurt very bad and I did not walk on them past 6PM. Sunday morning I was not any better and still not walking and Mommy and Daddy were very concerned, I did not get to continue my visits or return home in Salisbury. I really miss my puppy Bailey and my kitty Lulu. However by me going to visit everyone, this is where God allowed me to be brought to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOPS). Since Sunday afternoon this is where I have been diagnosed with something different than Toxic Synovitis. As every day passes please pray for me and be sure to read the latest in the journal, view the photo gallery, and drop me a line in the guestbook.

God Bless Everyone.
Thank you,
Brooke and Her Family including Bailey!

So initially this is a foundation for Brooke Mulford, to help in the efforts to cure her of this horrible disease. We hope in the future, that through this foundation and every other foundation dedicated to the fight against cancer, that we can help in some way to make that dream come true!

Thank you,
Team Brooke
