Hi Brooke and family. My name is Tom Phillips and my son, Dustin had leukemia at age 4. We had quite a journey but we are home and doing great. Dustin was treated at Johns Hopkins and at one stretch spent nearly a year in the hospital. He had two bone marrow transplants and lost his right arm due to a fungal infection, but throught perseverance and lots of prayer we came through okay. I saw your story on the news the other day and it said you were cancer free! It made me think back to Dustin's treatments and how much we went through. We are really praying for you and hope that your cancer is gone forever. We live right here in Fruitland so we are not very far from you guys. Dustin is 11 years now and has been cancer free for 5 years. Stay strong and keep smiling! God Bless, Tom, Beth, Dustin, and Jana Phillips

Hi Brooke, it's Coach Adam. Please forgive me for taking so long to write you but I just want to say I've been praying for you and I hope your back playing soccer asap!!! All of Salisbury is behing you and to her parents I just wanted to encourage you a bit. Brooke's situation is a little like my sister's when she was born. She had bacterial meningitis and the doctors did not give her much of a chance. My mom and dad had faith though and relied on God to heal Amanda (my sister). He came through like he always does and now that is part of mine and my entire family's testimony. I pray that this situation draws your entire family closer to God and that this will all be a part of Brooke's testimony when she's older. With much love, Coach Adam

Hi Brooke, This is a story about your mommy. In 2003 I was an inpatient at HealtSouth.Your mommy was one of my therapists. I did not have the right kind of shoes so your mom,Tanya and one other therapist took their lunch hour time to take me shoe shopping.Your mom was so much fun. She ran all over the store trying to find just the right shoes. She did. I still have them. When I was in your mom's therapy group it was always joyful. She is really special! Now, there is something else that is just as special. I have a granddaughter just your age. As a matter of fact, her name is Tara and she is your good friend at preschool. Tara's whole family loves you and is praying for you and your parents.Tara's Great Grandmother lives in California. She has the Presbyterian church of San Clemente praying for you. We are also going to the fundraisers. It is wonderful to see how many people attend them. I believe it is because of how great and giving your Mom and Dad have always been.Tara, your babysitter, oversees the pool group in the stepdown program I go to at HealthSouth. My mom always said it "is a small world."It sure is, and it is all about sending love to you and your family. Much love and prayers, Tara's Grandma

Hi Brooke, We just met you today down at CHOP and I wanted to let you know that it was a pleasure to meet you. You gave my daughter Lauren a sticker in the elevator and although she didn't seem appreciative of it at first she would not let it go by the time she got to the van. She also threw a HUGE fit when she dropped it and I had to pull over so we could pick it up off the floor! So many thanks for being so sweet to our little girl. Your new website is so beautiful Brookie – and it’s pink!! Just like my new collar! Today, I went for a long walk, Miss Liz makes me walk the whole neighbor now, she said it’s good for me to get the “stink” blown off me. Doesn’t she know puppies have the best smell? Anyways, I am still in 1st place to see who can pick up the most sticks when we walk. And today I discovered squirrels on my walk. They look like so much FUN. So far all I am able to do is run after them, but I have big plans on catching one of them one of these days. I did get to play with LuLu today, silly cat, she doesn’t like to go for walks. Well, I miss you bunches, and promise all sorts of puppy kisses when you get home. Keep being brave my beautiful little best friend. Puppy kisses and tag wags, Bailey
